‘Not for away’: How much Bayern willing to pay for Ismael Saibari | OneFootball

Bayern Munich are “not far away” from negotiating a deal with PSV Eindhoven attacker Ismael Saibari. 

The Bavarian giants are close to reaching an agreement for Eintracht Frankfurt defender Nathaniel Brown, and they are looking to add more new faces.

Signing a new attacking wide midfielder was a priority for the German champions, and they were heavily linked with a move for Anthony Gordon before he joined Barcelona.

The rise of Ismael Saibari

After missing out on Gordon, Bayern have earmarked Ismael Saibari – who has impressed heavily for Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven – as their top target.

Saibari joined PSV in 2020, and after spending time at the club’s youth academy, he finally made his full fledged senior breakthrough in 2023.

The 25-year-old versatile winger has made over 140 appearances for the Dutch side, scoring 42 goals across all competitions.

He enjoyed a fabulous 2025-26 campaign, scoring 15 goals and registering eight assists in the Eredivisie. Saibari also scored three goals in the Champions League.

Vincent Kompany wants Ismael Saibari

We reported previously that Ismael Saibari will not be a bargain transfer for Bayern.

Christian Falk has shared an interesting insight regarding Saibari’s potential move. The Bild journalist claims that Bayern have already reached personal agreement with the player, and they are not far away in the negotiations with PSV.

Saibari is a versatile attacker who primarily plays as a central attacking midfielder, but can also play on the left hand side.

Bayern have Jamal Musilia, Serge Gnabry and even Lennart Karl as options in the central midfield role, but Vincent Kompany personally brought the name of Saibari to the table.

The Bayern head coach spoke with the player and wanted to have him in the side. The club have full faith in Kompany, and they want to make the deal happen.

Falk said to CFBayern Insider: “The situation with Saibari is similar. They’re not so far away in the negotiations with PSV. There’s an agreement with the player. I heard the deal is the idea of Vincent Kompany – he likes the player.”

How much Bayern want to pay for Ismael Saibari

PSV have an opportunity to sell Saibari at a club record fee, but Bayern are not willing to pay anything more than €50m.

At the moment, it is also not clear how the structure of the deal will be, but it is unlikely Bayern will pay over the top or meet PSV’s hardline of €60m.

Falk added: “Bayern Munich thought he would be a little cheaper, but it’s always the same when Bayern come to the table. The price just rises. Not to mention the fact that the Eredivisie club saw how much Bayern were prepared to pay Newcastle for Anthony Gordon.

“So, in the end, Bayern Munich, I heard, have a line they won’t cross (€50m). How they’ll handle this with add-ons isn’t, at the moment, clear to me. Perhaps it’s not clear in the negotiations either. Regardless, if the deal happens, it will be a record transfer in PSV’s history.

“I don’t think they will be so hardline as to say €60m or nothing. In the end, I think the deal will happen, but you never know, perhaps if another club is coming around, as we’ve already seen with Barcelona!
