Nottingham Forest lost 3-2 to Manchester United at Old Trafford, a match overshadowed by a handball storm around Matheus Cunha’s strike. With little more than pride at stake, Vitor Pereira said it would have been a big problem had more ridden on it.

He delivered both assists at Old Trafford and is attracting admiring glances, while Forest want to keep all their key players. Money may complicate that, but the club hold the cards over their prized asset.

Pereira was serenaded by the away end after full time, underlining support to stick with him. An eight-match unbeaten league run and a European semi-final point to clear progress, with planning already under way for 2026/27 and a new deal potentially forthcoming. A final-day win at Bournemouth would round it off.
