It has been reported that Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Leicester City defender Victor Kristiansen.
Leicester City are preparing themselves for a busy summer transfer window and it has now been reported that east midlands rivals Nottingham Forest are interested in the signing of left-back Victor Kristiansen.
Leicester were relegated from the Premier League last season, having only gained promotion the year before as Championship winners, under the management of Enzo Maresca.
The Foxes have taken some time to act and make decisions in this summer, with Ruud van Nistelrooy having only departed the club via mutual consent as recently as last week.
They are yet to have a replacement appointed at the King Power Stadium, and there is also some talk of a potential points penalty given by the EFL due to financial issues in what is set to be a summer of upheaval and difficulty.
Among the decisions that Leicester have to make will be potential sales and departures, with Kristiansen now set to be one of those chased by suitors.
According to Fabrizio Romano, via his X account, Nottingham Forest are interested in the signing of Kristiansen in this summer’s transfer window.
Romano has said that Forest are the ‘latest club’ to show an interest in the 22-year-old Copenhagen-born full-back, and that he is among a list of options for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
Forest are looking to deepen their squad this summer, having qualified for the UEFA Europa Conference League, and are two left-backs down at the moment, too, with Harry Toffolo having left at the end of his contract and Alex Moreno returning to parent club Aston Villa.
As well as Forest, it was recently reported by Gianluca Di Marzio that Sunderland also hold an interest in the defender, as well as other clubs in both England and Italy.
Kristiansen, who is estimated to earn £25k-a-week at the Foxes, joined Leicester from Copenhagen in the 2022/23 winter transfer window. He has made 45 appearances for the Foxes, but played for Bologna on loan in the 2023/24 campaign as they finished fifth in Serie A and qualified for the UEFA Champions League with Thiago Motta at the helm.
As well as trying to find a new manager promptly so that their pre-season preparations can begin in earnest, Leicester are also likely to have to construct a squad with a bit of speed, too.
Kristiansen isn’t the only player linked with a move away and, as well as that, club legend Jamie Vardy departed the club this summer at the end of his contract.
As well as Kristiansen, it has been reported that attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss is the subject of interest from Bayer Leverkusen, whilst West Ham United and Chelsea have been linked with a move for goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.
As well as Vardy, goalkeeping duo Daniel Iversen and Danny Ward have departed the club, too, as well as young midfielder Arjan Raikhy, whilst Facundo Buonanotte and Odsonne Edouard have returned to Brighton and Hove Albion and Crystal Palace respectively at the end of their loan deals.
Leicester kick off their 2025/26 Championship campaign against Sheffield Wednesday at the King Power Stadium on Sunday 10th August, but their first friendly of the summer is as soon as this weekend, taking on Peterborough United on Saturday.
