Nottingham Forest have formalized their interest in Napoli left-back Mathias Olivera, though a significant gap in valuation currently stands between the two clubs.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, the Premier League side have tabled a proposal worth €15 million for the Uruguayan defender. However, Napoli have deemed this opening offer too low. Despite Olivera no longer being a guaranteed starter under the current technical setup, the Partenopei are holding out for a figure closer to €25 millionor at the very least north of €20 million to sanction a sale.

A key factor in the potential transfer is the player’s own desire, as Olivera is seeking more regular game time than he is currently receiving in Naples. While the financial terms are not yet sufficient for Napoli to give the green light, the fullback’s push for consistent minutes could prove pivotal in the coming days of the window.
