Official: 1.FC Köln pocket €20m as Kaminski joins Benfica

Jakub Kaminski's transfer to Benfica Lisbon is complete, as confirmed by 1.FC Köln's official website this evening.

The Portuguese record champions have signed the versatile and speedy midfielder to a contract until 2031.

Furthermore, Benfica will pay Köln a fixed transfer fee of €20million Kaminski, resulting in a hefty profit for the Cathedral City club.

Köln signed the 31-cap Polish international permanently from VfL Wolfsburg this summer for €5.5million after a year-long loan.

In the most recent Bundesliga season, the 24-year-old has scored seven goals and provided five assists for the Billygoats.
