FC Barcelona will be kicking off their game against Athletic Club soon. Away from home this time around, the Catalan giants will need to be careful if they wish to get a desirable result in this particular match.

After all, their opponents are known to give even the toughest opponents a hard time every now and then. Fortunately, Hansi Flick has enough quality in his squad to field a reliable starting eleven, albeit with a few rotations.

Here is the official Barça starting line-up for this game.

In goal, unsurprisingly, Joan Garcia starts as Barça’s primary shot-stopper in between the sticks. He will be looking to deliver a performance similar to his previous one against Atletico Madrid.

Ahead of him, Pau Cubarsi and Eric Garcia start as the two centre-backs for La Blaugrana. Both players will be determined to keep Athletic Club at bay to ensure that the team can deliver a strong result.

On the flanks, Joao Cancelo and Gerard Martin start for the team. Both players will have to cover a lot of ground against a team that is known for their physicality, but both of these players can outperform them in terms of their technical ability as well.

In the midfield, Marc Bernal is accompanied by Marc Casado to form the double pivot. Both of them will need to win their duels while also being creative to ensure that the Barcelona forwards get the right kind of service.

Right in front of them, Lamine Yamal and Marcus Rashford occupy the two wide attacking positions. In between them, Dani Olmo starts as the team’s central attacking midfielder.

Lastly, up top, Ferran Torres starts as the team’s centre-forward. Unfortunately, his recent form has been wayward to say the least, but the Spaniard will need to mount a comeback and this could be a good occasion to do that.
