Official: Barcelona starting XI against Rayo Vallecano | La Liga | OneFootball

FC Barcelona are soon set to kick off their game against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga. The third game for both teams in the league, it will definitely be a demanding fixture for both sides. However, Hansi Flick’s side will be confident about the three points at stake.

After all, they have the quality to make things difficult for the opposition as well. While the game is taking place at Vallecas and Rayo Vallecano have the home advantage, Flick’s team has enough quality to fight for the win. Moreover, Wojciech Szczesny has been registered in time for this game as well.

Here is the official starting eleven for Barça against Rayo Vallecano.

In goal, Joan Garcia retains his place as the team’s starting goalkeeper. After two solid performances in the last two games, despite conceding twice against Levante, the Spaniard will be looking to deliver another reliable performance for Barça.

As for the defense, Andreas Christensen and Eric Garcia start as the team’s two centre-backs. Both players will look to initiate play from the back, while also making sure that they make Garcia’s job in goal as easy as possible.

On the flanks, Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde start for the Catalan club. They will need to provide width and support to both the team’s attack and defense, so their job will be crucial.

In the midfield, Pedri partners up with Frenkie de Jong. With Gavi injured, Hansi Flick might have one less option to choose from in the Barcelona midfield, but he still has more than enough quality in the team considering just how impactful both of these two midfielders can be.

Ahead of those two, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal occupy the wings and will look to create as much of a threat as possible to Rayo Vallecano. In between them, Dani Olmo starts as the attacking midfielder right behind the striker.

Up top, Ferran Torres starts as the team’s primary centre-forward. While Rayo Vallecano will look to mark him as tightly as possible, he will still be expected to make the most of the chances that come his way.
