Eintracht Frankfurt attacking prospect Paxten Aaronson’s move to the Colorado Rapids has been officially confirmed. Eintracht head coach Dino Toppmöller already gave the 21-year-old an unofficial farewell at a press conference yesterday. Toppmöller contributed some very kind words and expressed regret that the youngster would no longer be playing in the Bundesliga.

Eintracht were planning with Aaronson ahead of the new season, but were unable to guarantee the New Jersey native adequate playing time due to the competitive situation in midfield. Aaronson did end up scoring his very first goal in Eintracht colors before he left, netting the final goal off the bench in his club’s 0-5 away win against FV Engers in the opening round of the DFB Pokal.
