Valentin Carboni has officially joined Genoa on a season-long loan deal from Inter Milan.
The Grifone have officially announced the 20-year-old’s arrival on their homepage. The loan deal for Carboni does not include a purchase option.
Genoa have signed Valentin Carboni on loan from Inter Milan.
The 20-year-old joins the Ligurian club on loan with a purchase option. Rather, it is just a season-long dry loan deal.
This reflects the fact that Inter still see Carboni as part of their future plans. Therefore, the Nerazzurri don’t want there to be any risk of losing control of the Argentine’s future this summer.
Rather, the priority is playing time. Reportedly, Inter have agreed to pay Genoa a bonus of up to €1 million based on the amount of playing time that Carboni receives.

Valentin Carboni joined Marseille on loan last summer. The French club had a purchase option, whilst Inter had a buyback option.
However, an ACL tear in October derailed Carboni’s season. He was unable to play for the rest of the season, recovering from his injury.
However, Carboni was able to return from that major knee injury.
The Argentine was part of Inter’s squad at the Club World Cup this summer.
Carboni scored his first senior goal for the Nerazzurri at the tournament. He came off the bench to score the stoppage time winner against Urawa Red Diamonds in the group stage.
Meanwhile, Carboni has already won three senior caps for Argentina.
Carboni had also spent the 2023-24 season on loan with Monza. This was a similar arrangement to the 20-year-old’s loan move to Genoa this summer.
Therefore, this move to Genoa will be one that Inter hopes can allow Carboni to finally build real momentum at senior level.
