Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani has joined Torino on loan with a purchase option.

The Nerazzurri confirm that the Albanian has made the switch in an official announcement. He leaves after three years at the club, having joined from Empoli in 2022.

Inter Milan have been working to offload midfielder Kristjan Asllani for much of this summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old does not have a place in the Nerazzurri’s plans for next season.

Asllani joined Inter from Empoli in the summer of 2022. However, he has never quite convinced in any of his three seasons at the club.

This summer, a number of clubs showed an interest in Asllani’s signature.

Real Betis had made an effort to bring the Albanian international to La Liga. However, he reportedly preferred staying in Serie A.

In the last few days, both Bologna and Torino came forward to try and sign Asllani.

Both clubs were reportedly in advanced talks with Inter.

However, the Rossoblu failed to convince Asllani on personal terms. By contrast, the 23-year-old decided to instead accept a contract offer from the Granata.

Therefore, Asllani has completed his medicals and signed his contract.

The Albanian will be a Torino player for the upcoming season. He signs on an initial loan deal, but containing a purchase option.

Inter do not announce the fee. Reportedly, though, Torino will pay the Nerazzurri a loan fee of €1.5 million. Then, next summer their purchase option will be worth €12 million.
