“Following the muscular problem suffered on Tuesday night in the Coppa Italia match against Cagliari, Timothy Weah underwent clinical and instrumental examinations this morning at J|Medical, which revealed a low-grade injury of the femoral biceps of the right thigh,” Juventus said in an official statement on Wednesday.
The American winger played the full 90 minutes against the Sardinians on Tuesday, providing an assist for Nico Gonzalez’s late goal.
Juventus have not revealed the player’s recovery time.
The Serie A giants visit Monza in the next league game on Sunday, December 22.
The last game of the year will be against Fiorentina at the Allianz Stadium in Turin a week later.
Weah has played a key role at Juventus this season, providing four assists and scoring as many goals in 18 appearances across all competitions with the Old Lady.
The 24-year-old is in his second season at Juventus. He made his USMNT debut in March 2018 and has six goals in 41 international appearances.
