Real Madrid will be aiming to extend their 100% streak in the 2025/26 La Liga season when they take on Real Sociedad later today.

Ahead of the contest at the Reale Arena, manager Xabi Alonso has now announced the starting lineup that will take the field against the Basque club.

The first big change comes in defence where Dani Carvajal starts at right-back ahead of new signing Trent Alexander-Arnold. Alvaro Carreras continues at left-back while Eder Militao and Dean Huijsen pair up at centre-back in front of Thibaut Courtois.

In midfield, there is a significant alteration as well, with Alonso opting to rest Federico Valverde after his international excursions. Instead, Dani Ceballos gets a rare starting opportunity in the centre of the park.

Ceballos will be partnered by Aurelien Tchouameni, who has been in good form this term, while Arda Guler also continues in his new position in midfield.

Up ahead, Brahim Diaz comes into the team at the expense of Franco Mastantuono. Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. complete the Real Madrid attacking trident against Sociedad.
