Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has admitted that he’s concerned about the club’s summer business. The Eagles have enjoyed a fantastic past few months.
They beat Manchester City to win the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium, then started the 2025/26 season with a Community Shield success after beating Liverpool on penalties.
Glasner’s side also started the season with an impressive result against Chelsea, holding their capital rivals to a goalless draw in a tightly contested London derby.
Palace have enjoyed their success with only a couple of new additions to Glasner’s thin squad.
They’ve only signed goalkeeper Walter Benitez on a free transfer from PSV Eindhoven and left back Borna Sosa in a £2 million deal from Ajax.
With only a few days left until the end of the transfer window, Glasner has admitted to Sky Sports that he’s “worried” about the club’s lack of activity this summer, especially if they don’t get the right players.
Palace are set to lose Eberechi Eze to Arsenal in the next couple of days.
The Eagles are set to recoup north of £70m for their prized asset and are lining up Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss as a replacement.
However, Eze isn’t the only player who could leave Selhurst Park before the window closes.
Club captain Marc Guehi has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool, and those rumours intensified after he was seen snubbing Glasner following the goalless draw against Chelsea.
Adam Wharton and Jean-Philippe Mateta are also being courted by some of the biggest clubs across Europe.
Wharton is admired by the Premier League heavyweights and is also on the radar of Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid, while Mateta has been linked with Manchester United.
Wharton and Mateta are unlikely to leave this summer, but Guehi could follow Eze through the door over the next few days.
