With the January transfer window almost upon us, Real Madrid seem set to bid goodbye to teenage forward Endrick on a temporary basis.

Indeed, the 19-year-old striker is poised to secure a loan move away to Olympique Lyon in France, with a move now understood to be in advanced stages.

Given that Endrick is suspended for Real Madrid’s upcoming match against Sevilla, he may have played his final game for the club before leaving for Lyon, when he started against CF Talavera earlier this week in the Copa del Rey.

One last matter to resolve before Endrick agreement

Now, according to L’Equipe, full-fledged discussions between Real Madrid and Lyon are underway this week and a complete agreement for Endrick’s loan deal could take a few days.

The teenage Brazilian is keen on joining the Ligue 1 outfit and already gave his verbal consent to a move one month back, while waiting for the two clubs to come to an agreement.

As per the report, one final hurdle remains before both parties can finalise an agreement – Endrick’s salary.

Lyon are unable to cover the young striker’s full wages and will need Real Madrid to take on a part of it for the deal to go through.

It is unlikely to be a major issue, though, and an agreement between the two clubs could be finalised imminently.

As reported earlier, there are some special clauses in the agreement, including one where it is specified that Endrick needs to play at least 25 matches at Lyon, so as to ensure that the youngster gets regular game-time – something that has not been possible at Real Madrid.

It is only a matter of time before all the details are resolved and an agreement is secured for Endrick to join Lyon on loan until the end of the season.
