Liverpool could sign 'one of the best' in his position with a €60m deal. This is one to watch.

Liverpool could be the club to sign Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer. It's widely expected that Brown will move on but exactly where isn't entirely clear.

But Liverpool are in the mix. They've scouted Brown on several occasions now, viewing him as a potential replacement for Andy Robertson.

Robertson is out of contract in the summer and it feels likely that he leaves. Brown could well be the €60m signing to replace him.

And Liverpool would certainly be getting a top player. There's plenty of hype around Brown right now, who earned his first cap for Germany this week.

Markus Krosche, sporting director at Frankfurt, wasn't surprised by Brown catching the eye in that debut, either.

"He played a good game,” said Krosche. “For me, he’s already one of the best full-backs in Europe.”

It seems that many clubs agree with Krosche on that. They're lining up to pay a massive amount to get Brown, with Sport Witness relaying a Bild report claiming Liverpool are among at least five elite clubs watching the player.

With Robertson's potential departure maybe opening up a clear spot for Brown, though, perhaps Liverpool feel this is a fight they can win.

Nathaniel Brown: Situation Summary

Bundesliga Performance and Role

Nathaniel Brown has emerged as one of the Bundesliga’s standout young talents during the 2025–2026 season with Eintracht Frankfurt. The 22-year-old defensive all-rounder has been a versatile asset for manager Albert Riera, featuring primarily as a left-back but also covering the right-back position when needed. His high-energy performances earned him the February 2026 Player of the Month award from fans, and he even wore the captain’s armband for the first time during a clash against Bayern Munich. As of April 2026, Brown has recorded four goals and four assists in 26 league matches, reflecting his offensive threat and creative importance to the team.

Injury Update and Transfer Rumours

Heading into the final stretch of the season, Brown has recently been cleared of a minor calf injury that saw him taken off as a precaution during a match in late March. Despite the concern, he was fit enough to start for the German national team in a 2–1 victory over Ghana, and he is expected to be available for Frankfurt’s upcoming fixture against FC Köln on April 5. His rapid ascent has caught the eye of Europe’s elite, with reports as of April 3 suggesting that Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid, and Manchester City are all tracking the defender. Eintracht Frankfurt is reportedly bracing for summer bids, with his valuation currently estimated around £57 million.
