Harry Maguire could stay at Manchester United with positive signs over a solution for his future at the club.
The former Leicester City defender's current deal expires at the end of the current season and the player is free to talk to other clubs if he so wishes.
However, according to journalist Simon Stone of BBC Sport, 'multiple sources' indicate that a solution will be found to keep him at the club for at least a further season – although a compromise is expected on a salary reduction.
Maguire first joined United from the Foxes in an £80-million deal back in 2019 and he also took the captain's armband from Ashley Young before it was later given to Bruno Fernandes.
Since arriving at Old Trafford, the 32-year-old has played 261 times for the club, also chipping in with 17 goals from defence.
