Manchester United are among a host of clubs sizing up a move for Paris Saint-Germain frontman Randal Kolo Muani.
It’s a name that plenty of fans will be familiar with, as the Reds were linked with him for several months prior to his £76.4 million move from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023. Ultimately, they opted for a younger option in the form of Rasmus Hojlund, albeit paying a similar price.
Now, with Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggling to provide the firepower Ruben Amorim needs in his frontline, United are considering reviving their interest in the 27-capped France international amid his stagnant form for PSG.
Muani, whom compatriot Kylian Mbappe hailed as a ‘complete’ striker, has started just two Ligue 1 games since 2024/2025 got underway and has been left out of the squad entirely for their last two outings, as well as fixtures in the Trophee des Champions and Coupe de France. In total, he has made 14 appearances across all competitions, returning only two goals and one assist.

However, it’s his stellar form for Frankfurt which will be driving United’s interest. In his last full season in Germany, he notched 23 goals and 17 assists in 46 matches, making him one of the most sought-after stars on the market that summer.
Now playing such a minor role in Luis Enrique’s plans for the campaign, Muani is expected to complete a move away this winter to seal increased game time elsewhere – and David Ornstein has provided the latest scoop on the 26-year-old’s situation.
“I’m told Tottenham see him as their top target for a versatile attacker, Manchester United are looking at multiple options, and Juventus are in the equation, too,” he said via the NBC Sports YouTube channel.
“Those three clubs are being presented to me as being the leading contenders at this moment in time. And when you look at the market for January, which is never easy, and you look at available options for top-level attackers, they don’t come much better on paper than Kolo Muani.
“So it’s a big decision for all of the parties involved in this, and there will be financial considerations as well, of course.
“Let’s see if other clubs come to the fore in the next few days or the weeks ahead. But for the moment, Tottenham, Manchester United and Juventus are the front-runners for Randal Kolo Muani.”
