Oshimen to Galatasaray? Napoli remains unmoved
The Victor Osimhen saga is heating up. While Galatasaray dreams of keeping hold of the prolific Nigerian striker—who delivered a stunning loan spell last season (37 goals, 8 assists)—Napoli refuses to budge.
According to Turkish journalist Uğur Karakullukçu, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has bluntly dismissed the Istanbul club's advances. “Tell those guys I'm not selling to Galatasaray. They can get lost,” he allegedly told an intermediary, with even more colorful language reported by Habersarikirmizi.
The player, who has already agreed to a €16 million-per-year contract, wants to remain in Istanbul. But the real stumbling block is the €75 million release clause. Galatasaray is pushing for a staggered payment and a resale clause, while Napoli demands an immediate, lump-sum payment.
This standoff has cooled negotiations, but Galatasaray still hopes for a breakthrough before the Champions League kicks off.
