Ousmane Dembélé expected to reject PSG’s contract renewal offer

Ballon d’Or and GFFN 100 winner Ousmane Dembélé (28) is expected to reject PSG’s contract renewal, according to Foot Mercato. Les Parisiens are set to open contract renewal talks with their centre-forward. Dembélé has joined PSG in 2023, when the Ligue 1 champions trigger his FC Barcelona release clause. He remains tied with PSG with a contract set to expire in 2028.

PSG’s willingness to open contract talks shows their intent to keep hold of Dembélé beyond his peak years. But the France international’s salary is set to be a massive sticking point given the gap between Les Parisiens‘ €30m offer and what Dembélé’s entourage will reportedly command. Foot Mercato understands that Dembélé will require nearly double what PSG offer.
