Bayern Munich have confirmed that Joao Palhinha has pulled out of Portugal's squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Poland and Croatia.
The defensive midfielder is suffering from a groin problem.

He will now return to Munich for further treatment in the hope of being fit to face Augsburg after the international break.
Palhinha's playing time at Bayern has increased since Aleksandar Pavlovic broke his collarbone in the 4-0 win over Stuttgart in mid-October.
The 29-year-old has started five of Bayern's last six games in all competitions.
