Palmeiras beat Flamengo to reach LaLiga U12 quarter-finals

Palmeiras’ under-12 team defeated Flamengo this Friday and advanced to the quarterfinals of LaLiga FC Futures. Verdão beat Rubro-Negro 2-0, with goals from Antônio Zorzi and Nicolas, who finishes the group stage as the team’s top scorer with six goals.

With the win, Palmeiras secured qualification as the leader of Group A, with 10 points. Before defeating Flamengo, Alviverde had drawn with River Plate (3-3), beaten Inter Miami (3-0), and thrashed Boca Juniors (6-0).

In the competition’s quarterfinals, Palmeiras will face a tough opponent. Paris Saint-Germain, the runner-up in Group B, will take on Verdão this Saturday at 7:30 a.m. (Brasília time).
