Palmeiras negotiating Naves sale to Necaxa for about $3m plus add-ons | OneFootball

Palmeiras are negotiating the permanent sale of defender Naves to Necaxa of Mexico, with discussions ongoing.

According to Globo.com, the proposed deal is around $3 million, about R$ 15.2 million, plus add-ons, and the contract length remains undecided.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at FC Alverca in Portugal, scoring three goals in 34 appearances before returning to Palmeiras at the end of that spell.

A Palmeiras academy graduate, he was promoted to the first team in 2022 and has featured across four seasons. He made a maximum of 15 appearances in 2024, his busiest year under Abel Ferreira.

In central defence, Palmeiras currently have recent signing Barboza alongside Gustavo Gómez, Murilo, Bruno Fuchs, Benedetti and Koné, an Ivory Coast centre-back promoted from the academy who has been training with the senior squad.
