Palmeiras defeated Fluminense 2-1 at Arena Barueri in the Brasileiro, yet the club still posted a matchday loss, their third as hosts in 2026 from seven home dates.

According to Nosso Palestra, match revenue was R$ 353,328.50 from 10,329 fans, but operating costs left a deficit of R$ 37,470.02. It was only the seventh time the club finished out of pocket across 58 fixtures staged away from Allianz Parque.

Earlier this year, the win over Mirassol in the Paulista still produced a R$ 9,073.77 loss from revenue of R$ 459,197.00 and an attendance of 12,654. The triumph against Vitória in the Brasileiro led to a R$ 110,710.74 shortfall, with revenue of R$ 263,547.00 and 8,953 present.

Before 2026, the last negative gate came in 2021, a 1-0 victory over Ceará that cost R$ 80,918.83. In the post-Libertadores period the club fielded their under-20 side with an alternative staff, and Kevin, now at Fulham, scored the winner.

Allianz Parque is in the final stages of readiness to host football again, with Soccer Grass replacing the synthetic surface after recent concerts. The internal expectation is for the pitch to be cleared by the first weekend of March, in time for a possible Paulista decider, with the finals set for 4 and 8.

Until then, Palmeiras must settle matters away from home, facing São Paulo on Sunday 1 at 20:30 in a single-leg semi-final at Arena Crefisa Barueri.
