Palmeiras register Jhon Arias for 2026 Paulista, will not face Internacional or Guarani | OneFootball

Palmeiras have registered Jhon Arias for the 2026 Campeonato Paulista, adding the Colombian attacker to list A on Wednesday morning.

According to Globo.com, he was announced by the club on Saturday, had been playing in England with Wolverhampton and needed time to complete paperwork before reporting. He is expected at the end of this week at the Academia de Futebol.

He will not face Internacional on Thursday in the Brasileiro, nor Guarani on Sunday at 20:30 in the final round of the Paulista first phase.

Arias had been playing regularly before agreeing his move. He made 26 appearances, with two goals and one assist this season. His most recent match was on 31 January against Bournemouth, so fitness is not expected to be an issue.

His best years came at Fluminense, with 16 goals and 17 assists in 2022, 12 and 17 in 2023, and 14 and eight in 2024. In 2025 he departed mid-season with four goals and 13 assists.
