Palmeiras returned to work on Wednesday morning at the Academia de Futebol after Tuesday’s away defeat to Novorizontino in the Campeonato Paulista. According to Nosso Palestra, the session included a notable addition to the group.
Players who logged more than 45 minutes undertook indoor work in the recovery and neuroscience centre, while the rest, supplemented by academy youngsters, focused on technical drills with specific emphases.
Midfielder Felipe Anderson trained fully with the squad. Forward Vitor Roque followed an individual programme yet took part in all drills.
Andreas Pereira, in physical transition, featured in most of the work as he stepped up his recovery. Lucas Evangelista and Figueiredo again completed separate ball exercises alongside youth players.
Abel Ferreira’s side reach the midway point of the opening phase on nine points in third place. Novorizontino sit second on goal difference, with Red Bull Bragantino top on nine, goal difference +9, and a game in hand.
Palmeiras face São Paulo on Saturday at 18:30 at Arena Barueri in the fifth round.
