Palmeiras said in a statement that the CBF refereeing commission acknowledged an error in disallowing Bruno Fuchs’s stoppage-time goal in the 1-1 draw with Remo.

The match was part of the 15th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, and referee Rafael Klein ruled out the defender’s late effort.

The recognition came during a Monday meeting with representatives of other Série A clubs. Palmeiras were represented by football director Anderson Barros, who pressed for measures to prevent repeat errors that could harm the competition’s credibility.

Palmeiras made no request for sanctions against either the on-field referee or the VAR. The club holds that even top professionals can err and that CBF decisions are not for clubs to influence, while pointing to investment in the improvement of Brazilian officiating.

It also urged reflection on the treatment of referee Ramon Abatti Abel, who was heavily punished by the CBF and the STJD a few months ago over events in the São Paulo v Palmeiras derby. The club argued that simplistic fixes, adopted only to offer momentary satisfaction to outsiders, will not advance refereeing or the national game.
