Palmeiras have opened the campaign with an extremely solid record against Série A opponents, winning all their Campeonato Paulista clássicos and beginning the Brasileirão well.

In the Campeonato Paulista, Palmeiras beat Santos 1-0, São Paulo 3-1 and Corinthians 1-0. They also defeated Mirassol 1-0.

In the Brasileirão, they have seven points, including a 2-2 draw with Atlético Mineiro, a positive result against strong opposition. A balanced attack and defence has underpinned their steady form.
