Palmeiras team update: Arthur and Andreas in line to face Cruzeiro | OneFootball

Arthur and Andreas Pereira returned to full training for Palmeiras on Thursday, while Benedetti could be a fresh doubt. According to Globo.com, Allan also trained after a calf problem.

The left-back has overcome a muscle oedema in his right thigh, while Allan had soreness in his left calf. Andreas took a heavy blow on Sunday against Remo, but it proved to be only a contusion.

Of the trio, Allan will miss Cruzeiro on Saturday in the Brasileirão due to automatic suspension. Benedetti, who started on Wednesday against Jacuipense, will undergo tests after leaving the pitch in Londrina with ankle pain.

Paulinho, rested in the Copa do Brasil as part of workload management, trained on the pitch and could feature in the next match. Abel Ferreira has one more session before facing Cruzeiro at 21:00 Brasília time at Arena Crefisa Barueri, in the 16th round.

A possible line-up is Carlos Miguel, Giay, Gustavo Gómez, Murilo and Arthur, Marlon Freitas, Andreas Pereira, Arias and Felipe Anderson, Sosa and Flaco López.

Palmeiras defend top spot and are aiming to return to winning ways after two consecutive draws. They have 34 points, four ahead of Flamengo, who have a game in hand.
