Palmeiras trained in Salvador on Monday morning, hours after beating Bahia, before beginning their trip to Colombia for their Conmebol Libertadores opener.

According to Globo.com, the squad worked at Vitória’s training centre, then boarded an afternoon flight to Cartagena.

Players who featured for more than a half on Sunday did recovery work. The rest trained on the pitch, including Paulinho, who is in an advanced phase of physical reconditioning and joined part of the group session.

Vitor Roque, recovering from ankle pain, trained separately and carried out on‑pitch exercises under the care of the Health and Performance unit.

Of the two, the number 9 has the greater chance of returning against Junior Barranquilla on Wednesday at 21:30 Brasília time. The squad will arrive in Colombia on Monday night and will finalise preparations on Tuesday.
