Palmeiras face Santos in the Brasileirão on Saturday, 2 May 2026 in São Paulo, with the hosts top on 32 points and the visitors 17th in the relegation zone.
Palmeiras have tended to edge this fixture, winning 57% of the listed recent meetings, and they beat Santos 1–0 in January's Paulista.
Verdão arrive off back to back league wins against Athletico Paranaense and RB Bragantino, plus a 1–1 draw away to Cerro Porteño in midweek. Peixe's recent run features draws at Bahia and San Lorenzo, a 1–0 home win over Atlético Mineiro and a 3–2 defeat to Fluminense.
Porco are without Joaquin Piquerez, Paulinho and Vitor Roque through injury. Alvinegro Praiano list Gabriel Menino and Vinicius Lira as sidelined, trimming options in defence and midfield.
With 23 goals scored and only 10 conceded after 13 league games, Verdão's balance could set the tone, especially in São Paulo. Peixe have 18 for and 21 against, so staying compact and making the most of limited openings may be decisive.
A win would move Verdão to 35 points and keep them on top. If Peixe take three points, they would reach 17 and could move out of the relegation places. Even a draw would help Alvinegro Praiano in the survival fight.
