Palmeiras’ mid-season training games have become more than fitness work, offering academy prospects valuable minutes to press their cases for first-team chances.

As reported by Nosso Palestra, the schedule has featured three friendlies against Mauaense, Primavera and Juventus, plus an in-house match, with several youngsters directly involved in goals that underlined the club’s depth.

Among those already familiar with the senior set-up, Larson and Luis Pacheco showed further progress. Larson scored in the win over Juventus, while Pacheco started in different games and netted in the internal run-out, with both training regularly under Abel Ferreira since the start of the year.

From the Sub-20 group, Heittor struck against Mauaense and Juventus. Victor Gabriel and Felipe Teresa scored versus Primavera, while Riquelme featured across various attacking units and found the net in the first friendly of the break.

Luighi, who already has senior minutes, remained a consistent presence in Abel’s sessions. The approach reflects an established trait of the coaching staff to use pauses without official matches to accelerate development, a path previously taken by Allan and Arthur before securing permanent roles and now inspiring the next wave.
