Paquetá scored Flamengo’s fastest league goal, Vitória reunion awaits | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Lucas Paquetá will face Vitória at Barradão on Tuesday. Eight years ago he scored Flamengo’s fastest Brasileirão goal there.

In 2018, he struck after 15 seconds, finishing low into the corner past goalkeeper Caíque from a Vini Jr pass. He celebrated with flips, then was visibly emotional.

At nine minutes, referee Wagner Reway penalised Everton Ribeiro for handball after the ball had hit his face, and Yago Felipe equalised from the spot.

After the interval, Réver restored Flamengo’s lead, before Deni Junior levelled and the match finished 2-2. Paquetá was among Flamengo’s standout performers.

He impressed across 2018 with 12 goals and six assists in 56 games, then moved to Milan the following year.

Spells at Lyon and West Ham followed, and he returned last month as Flamengo’s record signing for 42 million euros, R$ 260 million.

The midfielder has started the last two matches and should keep his place against Vitória at 21:30 in the third round of the Brasileirão.
