Paraguay call up Palmeiras trio Mauricio, Gustavo Gómez and Ramón Sosa for March friendlies

Paraguay have named their March squad for two friendlies, the federation announced, with Palmeiras trio Mauricio, Gustavo Gómez and Ramón Sosa included.

They face Greece on 27 March and Morocco on 31 March, part of preparations for upcoming internationals and the 2026 FIFA World Cup cycle.

Centre-back Gustavo Gómez remains a leading figure for Paraguay. Captain for both Palmeiras and the national side, he is central to their defensive organisation.

Ramón Sosa has been earning opportunities in recent camps, bringing pace and intensity down the flanks.

Midfielder Mauricio is the new call-up, recently naturalised as Paraguayan, now eligible for selection and handed a first chance to join the group.
