Inter Milan midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has urged his teammates not to underestimate Parma ahead of tonight’s Serie A clash at the Ennio Tardini.
Speaking to InterTV via FCInterNews, the veteran star reminded the Nerazzurri of their underwhelming performance here last season.
Parma held the San Siro giants to a goal-glutted 2-2 draw in this corresponding fixture last term.
However, that result forms part of Inter’s long-standing unbeaten Serie A streak on this ground, where they last lost in 2014.
Despite that imperious run, the 20-time Italian champions lament a negative all-time record at the Ennio Tardini, having won just twelve of their previous 34 previous visits.
Yet, this will be Inter’s first away match against the Crusaders under Cristian Chivu, who was in charge of the team in the second half of last season.
Furthermore, Inter head into proceedings as the league leaders, boasting a narrow one-point lead over second-placed AC Milan.
Meanwhile, the hosts remain stuck in the bottom half of the standings despite going unbeaten in their last two league games.

“We know it won’t be easy because last year we struggled here,” Henrikh Mkhitaryan said.
“And this year too, watching them play, you can see they’re a good team that causes a lot of problems.
“We have to do everything we can to cause them problems and bring home the victory.
“Everyone has to be ready to help the team.
“It’s not the first time we’ve found ourselves in this situation, so everyone will have to do their part and be ready to perform well.”
Meanwhile, speaking to DAZN via FCInterNews, Mkhitaryan once again reminded Inter of last year’s result in Emilia-Romagna.
“Last year, we let our guard down in the second half and paid the price,” he said. “Tonight it will be a bit different.
