VfL Wolfsburg will be without Patrick Wimmer for the foreseeable future because of a thigh injury. The Austrian missed the last two matches, against Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.
Head coach Daniel Bauer said Wimmer is a key part of their attack and that, although they had hoped to see him back sooner, the injury needs time and he will be given that time.

The thigh problem is still causing him issues.
Wimmer has three goals and six assists in 19 matches this season.
Wimmer is 24.
