According to Foot Mercato, Paul Pogba (31) could be set for a short-term deal before making a big summer move when the transfer window reopens in June. The World Cup winner was unable to find a club during the winter transfer window.
Pogba is a free agent following the termination of his contract with Juventus in November 2024. Despite his appealing status as a France international available on a free transfer, the midfielder is banned from playing any matches before March 11th. This issue was a dealbreaker when clubs were negotiating a potential transfer, including Marseille, who expressed an interest in the former Manchester United player.
The MLS, Brazil and Turkey have been touted as potential destinations for the 31-year-old, Foot Mercato understands. Pogba can begin training for any club now ahead of his pending availability from mid-March. Clubs in all three potential destinations can still make moves with their transfer windows open.
