Paulistão has led Brazil’s state championships for average attendance for the second year running. According to Globo.com, 761,663 fans attended 72 matches, an average of 10.5 thousand paying spectators per match, the only state competition above 10 thousand.

Campeonato Mineiro rose 4.5% year on year to place second with 7.3 thousand per match. Carioca averaged 7.1 thousand, Gaúcho 6 thousand and Paranaense 5.5 thousand to complete the top five.

Corinthians recorded the highest club average across the 2026 state championships. Over four home games at Neo Química they drew 154,526 in total, an average of 38.6 thousand.

São Paulo averaged 32.2 thousand, followed by Cruzeiro on 29.8 thousand, Fluminense on 28.6 thousand and Grêmio on 24.6 thousand. Flamengo, often Brazil’s attendance leader, ranked sixth with 24.2 thousand.

The largest single crowd came in the Carioca final at the Maracanã, where more than 62 thousand paid to watch Fluminense draw 0-0 with Flamengo, who won on penalties.

In Paulistão, the best turnout was at Morumbis as São Paulo beat Santos 2-0 in front of 49 thousand.
