Paulo Dybala has kept the door open to Boca Juniors after landing in his native Córdoba, with his Roma deal expiring on 30 June.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the 32-year-old said he remains a Roma player and, out of respect, would not discuss his future. When pressed about Boca, he indicated that all clubs are options and that they will see what might happen.

His impending free agency presents Boca with a chance to focus finances on a contract rather than a transfer fee. The presence of close friend Leandro Paredes, now the club’s captain, is considered a major attraction.

Dybala kept a measured tone, noting that football is unpredictable and that past situations have shifted unexpectedly. He also reflected on the possibility of extending his stay in Rome, while nothing is decided. Roma could yet put forward a proposal to keep him.

Over the coming weeks, emotion could play a part as Paredes stays in daily contact, hoping to revive their partnership at La Bombonera. Boca’s leadership are working quietly, aware that a move of this scale would shake up the club’s current outlook. For now, his next destination remains undecided.
