Pedro moved to 158 goals for Flamengo with a four-goal show against Madureira on Monday, closing in on Gabigol in the club’s all-time scoring list.
Coluna Do Fla reports that Pedro has climbed to seventh on the club’s historical chart. He is three shy of drawing level and four of overtaking Gabriel Barbosa on 161, having moved above Jarbas on 154 and Leônidas da Silva on 152.
The second leg of the Campeonato Carioca semi-final also ended a month without a goal for Pedro. He scored from outside the box, with a sliding finish, via a deflection and by attacking a cross.
Lucas Paquetá and Samuel Lino added further goals for Flamengo, and defender Jean Vianna scored an own goal. Those strikes came on top of the three Flamengo netted in the first leg.
Pedro’s next chance to trim the gap comes on Sunday against Fluminense. The clássico is the Campeonato Carioca final at the Maracanã.
