Lorenzo Pellegrini spoke again on the sidelines of the “Inside the Sport 2026” event at the Coverciano Technical Center.

The Roma midfielder, currently sidelined with a muscle injury sustained in recent weeks, addressed the hot topics facing the club, from his relationship with Gian Piero Gasperini to the uncertainty surrounding his contractual future.

Regarding the team’s attitude and mentality, Pellegrini stated: “What we’ve done since the beginning of the year is focus on working. There have been many difficulties, but the group has always remained united. Our objective is clear, and we will do everything we can to achieve it.”

Pellegrini then emphasized Gasperini’s determination: “Gasperini is more fired up than ever. I see him every day at Trigoria; he has an incredible desire to take this team as high as possible. External controversy doesn’t affect him; he conveys a determination that is crucial in this final stretch.”

Finally, on the question of his contract renewal: “My future is only the next five games. This isn’t the time to talk about contracts or what will happen in June. Now, all that matters is Roma and getting back on the pitch as soon as possible to help my teammates secure the Champions League.”
