Pep Guardiola hails one ‘incredible’ Real Madrid star after UCL clash | OneFootball

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has moved to make known his appreciation for the talents of Real Madrid star Federico Valverde.

This of course comes fresh off a match-winning performance on the part of the Uruguayan on Wednesday night.

Real Madrid welcomed Man City to Spain’s capital yesterday evening, for the first leg of a Champions League Last-16 tie.

The aforementioned Fede Valverde, as expected, was afforded a starting berth for the fixture.

And en route to an eventual 3-0 Blancos triumph, the 27-year-old, incredibly, bagged all three of his side’s goals.

Valverde was in nothing short of sensational form across the 90 minutes, conjuring up a performance which will go down in the Real Madrid history books.

And as alluded to above, one individual on whom such excellence was not at all lost is Pep Guardiola.

Speaking to the media in the aftermath of his side’s concerning defeat at the Bernabéu, Manchester City’s headmaster explained:

“Fede Valverde is a fantastic player. I don’t know how many roles he can play in… incredible.”
