The Blues remain in touching distance of leaders Arsenal, have reached the Carabao Cup final and FA Cup quarter-final and will attempt to overturn a 0-3 deficit against Real Madrid in next week’s second leg.

The boss says the team will take on one challenge at a time, starting with West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday evening at the start of a huge eight days for the Club with Real Madrid on Tuesday and then Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final a week on Sunday.

“When you have won a lot of titles, every game is important,” said Pep at his Friday press conference.

“We have been struggling for many months for the Premier League, and we will not give up fighting until the end.

“We cannot play the same eleven every three days, but I’m not thinking about Madrid.

“It would not be possible to win all the Premier League titles we have if we were not thinking about every single game.

“The day after Madrid when I woke up was Nuno, West Ham and what we have to do.

“Tomorrow we have an important game for our Premier League position and then the second leg on Tuesday.

“We are used to living these situations for many years and it’s a pleasure to be here because last season we could not live on that stage so it’s nice.”

The City boss says he expects a difficult 90 minutes against a Hammers side fighting for their Premier League lives.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have shown their fighting qualities in recent weeks, losing just two of their last 11 in all competitions, and Pep says they are a dangerous opponent because of their situation.

“With Nottingham Forest before. I always said when we arrive in the last 10 games, every team plays for something.

“For relegation for Champions League. Now there’s no second chances.

“Now it’s West Ham. Then we will think about [Madrid].

After the game we will see the plans we have. Play the game we have to play and then it will dictate if we have a chance or not.

“We’ll see on Tuesday. Now it’s West Ham and I always believe the Premier League is the most difficult one and still we are there.

“We are desperate [to win] too.”
