Philadelphia Union pulled off one of MLS's most dramatic comebacks this season, scoring three times in the final 20 minutes to beat 10-man Atlanta United 3-2 at Subaru Park on Saturday night.

Despite playing with a man advantage from the 26th minute after Enea Mihaj's red card for a foul on Milan Iloski, the Union found themselves trailing 2-0 through goals from Miguel Almirón and Tristan Muyumba. The visitors' defensive discipline and counterattacking threat kept Ryan Richter's side at bay for most of the match.

The comeback began in the 71st minute when Milan Iloski pulled one back after being set up by Augustín Anello on the left side of the area. The Union's pressure intensified as the clock ticked down, with the home crowd sensing an unlikely turnaround.

Deep into stoppage time, Neil Pierre rose highest to head home the equalizer in the 96th minute, sending Subaru Park into raptures. Just 60 seconds later, Ezequiel Alladoh completed the stunning turnaround with the winner in the 97th minute.

How the match unfolded

Philadelphia dominated possession from the start and created several early chances. Milan Iloski slipped when clean through on goal in the 17th minute, then saw a volley flash just wide four minutes later after being picked out by Danley Jean Jacques.

The game's pivotal moment came in the 25th minute when Mihaj was shown a straight red card for a late challenge on Iloski as the striker broke through on goal. Rather than capitalize on their numerical advantage, Philadelphia fell behind five minutes later.

Almirón opened the scoring after a defensive mix-up, with the ball rebounding off the Paraguayan twice before crossing the line. The Union hit the woodwork twice before halftime — Pierre's header from a corner and Frank Westfield's effort both striking the crossbar.

Atlanta extended their lead in the 65th minute when Muyumba fired home from outside the box after Philadelphia failed to clear a corner. The French midfielder found space between defenders Nathan Harriel and Pierre to pick his spot.

The Union's persistence finally paid off when Iloski started the comeback with 19 minutes remaining. The home side threw everything forward in the closing stages, with Pierre and Alladoh delivering the dramatic finale that secured Philadelphia's third consecutive MLS victory.

The result moves Philadelphia Union up the Eastern Conference standings while Atlanta United will rue their inability to hold onto a two-goal advantage despite being down to 10 men for over an hour.
