Mohamed Salah reached 100 goal contributions for Egypt in fewer matches than Lionel Messi & Cristiano Ronaldo marking another historic milestone during AFCON 2025.

The Egypt captain hit the landmark during the 3 - 2 quarter final win over Ivory Coast in Agadir, a match in which he both assisted and scored.

His decisive strike in the 52 minute sealed Egypt’s passage into semi final and took his international record to 65 goal and 35 assist in 111 appearance.

That tally places Salah among football’s elite. He reached the 100 mark quicker than Messi who needed 122 match & Ronaldo who required 136.

Only two Brazilian icon have done it faster:

Salah now sits ahead of Romelu Lukaku (113 game) & Luis Suarez (116). It also makes him the fastest African player in history to reach 100 international goal contributions.

Despite his success with his club, Salah's international career is still missing this major title (Africa Cup of Nations).
