Pisa coach Pippo Inzaghi feels that his brother Simone is a “top coach” and wishes Inter Milan “the best of luck” against Barcelona.
The coach and legendary former striker gave his thoughts to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, after guiding Pisa to an historic promotion to Serie A.
Legendary former AC Milan, Juventus, and Italy striker Pippo Inzaghi has brought Pisa back up to Serie A.
This will be the first time in 34 years that the Tuscan club are playing top flight football.
Confirming Pisa’s promotion is certainly one of the most impressive achievements of Pippo’s coaching career.
The 51-year-old has had his ups and downs on the bench. He began his coaching career by taking charge of his former team AC Milan more than a decade ago.
That proved to be a rocky start, as the Rossoneri were a huge club going through a very rough patch.
But over time, Pippo has established a reputation for himself on the bench.

Meanwehile, Pippo’s brother Simone Inzaghi has become perhaps the top coach in all of Italian football.
Having impressed at Lazio, Simone made the move to Inter in 2021. Since then he has won the Serie A title with the Nerazzurri, as well as reaching the Champions League final.
And Simone could bring Inter to yet another final this season. Everything is to play for in the second leg of their semifinal tie against Barcelona.
Whilst Pippo had had the more decorated playing career, there’s little doubt Simone has impressed more as a coach.
After Pisa’s promotion, Pippo said that “Simone was one of the first to message me, as always.”
“He’s an example for me,” the former striker said of his brother.
Then, Pippo said that his brother “is having an extraordinary season.”
“To be in the running on two fronts in May is a massive achievement. It’s the result of his quality, and the work he’s done.”
Then, Pippo called tomorrow’s second leg against Barcelona “a fundamentally important match.”
“I truly wish him the best of luck,” the Pisa coach said. “He deserves it.”
“Simone is an exceptional person. And a top coach.”
