One player who is currently in Chelsea’s ‘bomb squad’ is looking to now prove himself and get back in the first team squad.
Chelsea’s bomb squad has become a much spoken about thing. It’s basically a place where Chelsea put all of their players who they are trying to sell and have no plans to play them again in the first team squad. Some might consider it harsh, others might consider it smart. But these players will then do everything separately from the main first team group – eating, changing, training, and everything else – they do it alone or in the ‘bomb squad’ group.
Defender Axel Disasi is one of the players within this group at the moment as he failed to get a move during the summer window. There are still some windows open around the world and a chance he could still get a move, however, he has already made his transfer decision according to a report earlier this week.
And frustratingly, Chelsea’s highest earner Raheem Sterling is also still stuck in this group and is now unlikely to be moving on from the club until January at the earliest, if he even gets a move then. There was five clubs interested in signing him in the summer yet no move materialised.

According to The BBC, Axel Disasi is expected to train separately from the core first-team group – at least initially – but is ready if called upon by Chelsea.
The player reportedly plans to remain professional and committed, and is willing to play for the club again if asked.
He remains available and hopes to prove himself – albeit most likely from a separate building for now – but with a view to impress and get back into head coach Enzo Maresca’s thinking.
