ANTIGUA GUATEMALA, Guatemala The 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup continued with CD Plaza Amador earning a 5-3 win against Antigua GFC in Group A on Tuesday at Estadio Pensativo in Antigua Guatemala, Guatemala.

The hosts took the lead in the 6’ after Diego Santis struck a header off a corner kick service from Óscar Santis.

The visitors responded in the 16’ as Jorlian Sánchez scored from close range to equalize.

Plaza Amador took the lead in the 37’ through Everardo Rose, who delivered a right-footed shot from the left side of the box to capitalize on a build up through the left flank.

Jorlian Sánchez collected his brace in the 44’ as Plaza Amador took a two-goal advantage. José Murillo earned the assist after stripping the ball from center back Juan Osorio at the edge of the penalty area.

Yoameth Murillo further extended the lead for the Panamanian side in the 47’ after teaming up with Everardo Rose on the fast break.

Alberto Quintero made it five unanswered for Plaza Amador in the 58’ after converting on a penalty attempt.

Óscar Santis cut the deficit from Antigua with a brace in the second half, first converting a penalty in the 61’ before striking off a rebound following a corner kick in the 68’.

The result catapults Plaza Amador to first place in Group A with six points. Antigua falls to second place on four points.

Plaza Amador will play its third match of the campaign next Tuesday when it hosts Managua FC. Antigua GFC will close its Group Stage participation on August 27 when it visits LD Alajuelense.
