According to O Jogo, French reports indicate Porto have a preliminary agreement with Nice for Terem Moffi to join on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy the 26-year-old Nigerian set at eight million euros.

The forward could travel to Porto today to complete paperwork, undergo medical tests and sign. Moffi has been identified as the club’s attacking target, and Villas-Boas was on the ground to try to close the deal.

With Luuk de Jong injured and ruled out for the rest of the campaign, the board sought a market solution to cover that absence. Moffi, previously coached by Francesco Farioli, fits the profile.

The player’s dispute with his club is said to have helped negotiations.

Nice head coach Claude Puel said departures remain open until the transfer window closes, speaking on Wednesday.
