Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke could complete a move to Tottenham Hotspur ‘possibly by Sunday’, amid the Seagulls looking to include Luka Vuskovic in the deal.
Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi is determined to sign Van Hecke to bolster his defensive options and Tottenham have been working hard to deliver for the Italian.
The signs are now firmly pointing towards a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for Van Hecke and matters could move quickly.
Indeed, according to Dutch journalist Joost Blaauwhof, the transfer could be done ‘possibly by Sunday’.
Brighton are seeking ‘to involve’ Vuskovic in the deal which takes Van Hecke to north London.

The Seagulls see the Croatia international as a good replacement for the Dutchman and are prepared to value him at £30m in the deal.
If Brighton succeed then it would bring down the cash total Tottenham pay for Van Hecke, which would benefit the Seagulls in another way.
With Dutch side NAC Breda due 7.5 per cent from a sell-on clause, snapping up Vuskovic and less money appears to be a smart move for Brighton.
Whether Tottenham will play ball on Vuskovic is unclear, with the defender hugely highly rated following a loan spell at Hamburg.

Vuskovic has been claimed to be open to leaving Tottenham this summer, with the Croatian keen to continue to clock the regular game time he received at Hamburg in the Bundesliga.
Towards the end of May the defender sent out a warning that he considers regular minutes to be crucial for his development.
Brighton’s £30m valuation of Vuskovic though could be something Tottenham take real issue with.
A member of the Hamburg technical staff said that in his view, Tottenham would not even sell Vuskovic for £60m
