A pre-contract for Jesse Lingard has been signed with Corinthians, with the Englishman set to travel to Brazil.
According to Globo.com, the agreement was completed on Saturday and the club booked his flight to São Paulo.
He will depart London on Saturday night and will land at Guarulhos on Sunday morning.
He will then undergo medical tests on Monday. If everything is approved, he can sign a contract running until the end of this year.
The transfer window closes on Tuesday but this will not be an issue, as he is a free agent after leaving FC Seoul at the end of last year.
Lingard spent two decades at Manchester United, including his academy years, and also played for West Ham and Nottingham Forest, as well as other smaller English clubs. Over the last two seasons he made 67 appearances for FC Seoul, scoring 19 goals and supplying 11 assists. He featured for England at the 2018 World Cup, registering one goal and one assist, and was last selected in 2021.
